In 2016, I was approached by Just Ducks - a UK-based retailer of branded and bespoke rubber ducks - and asked to project manage the build of a new website, including an online shop, as well as overseeing their a digital marketing strategy.
I worked closely with senior personnel, a website programmer and marketing consultant to initially create a platform for a comprehensive website solution that included full navigation, functionality and the design of a retail store.
I created product categories and written descriptions for several hundred “character” ducks, all of which had to be subsequently proofed and made ready for publishing.
I was tasked with analysing previous sales data and then had to organise and create an accurate client database in advance of the new website launch.
I oversaw the creation of the launch campaign which included press releases for media and targeted correspondence to the database. I led the team to design and establish key social media platforms - Facebook, Twitter, Instagram - and regular personalised content to reflect the brands identity and style and to establish awareness online.
I was also responsible for the creation of a series of regular blogs, news posts and a quarterly newsletter to enhance the relationship and communication with existing clients and attract potential new ones.
