As a freelance business development manager for Abbotts Travel, I am responsible for creating brand awareness for the agency and reaching new audiences; forging relationships with key local partners; and providing a platform for better engagement with suppliers.
I found a solution that satisfies all the above.
In 2016, I approached a number of local magazines about running editorials using content from Abbotts Travel's suppliers.
For each magazine we work with, I have put together an editorial calendar and print deadlines.
Each month, we approach the suppliers with proposals. We then source editorial content and images, and edit to the Abbotts Travel in-house style.
The finished editorials appear in the magazines, but are also posted to the Abbotts Travel website and social media channels.
